This group project was to design and manufacture a trophy that would eventually be awarded to school pupils that excelled at their time at college.
There were multiple teams designing this award and logo for the client to choose from, in which my teams design was selected and moved on to making slight changes for manufacturing.

The clients budget was for us to be able to use 1 poplar piece of wood per trophy and whatever supplies the college could supply us with, minimising any unnecessary costs.
Materials
Popular wood - 145mm x 200mm x19mm (quantity x6) to create 6 trophies
Acrylic plastic - 5mm (transparent)
Manufacture Method
1. Created the shape of the trophy on the computer (illustrator) to send to the laser cutter, in order to cut the wood and plastic parts. Along with the Glasgow skyline and Text being idented into the parts.
2. Then each trophy wood part was then cut right through the middle using a bandsaw.
3. Then used strong adhesive glue to mould them together. Afterwards sanding them down and polishing them.
